On March 24th 2010 I set off from my home, in the small village of Mobberley, Cheshire in the UK to cycle across 5 continents and crossing two oceans arriving home approximately three years later. Due to the nature of the expedition my route is not set in stone and therefore can change drastically. I do however have a proposed route and here is that route.

After setting off from my home I will cross the channel and enter France, from there I will cycle east through to Eastern Europe and enter Russia via Ukraine. I will cycle through Russia, Kazakhstan, back into Russia then dropping into Mongolia crossing the Gobi Desert into China.

Once in China I will head down to Southeast Asia and cycle through to the tip of Indonesia where I will then cross the Timor Sea to Australia. I will then cycle south following the east coast of Australia finishing my first leg in Melbourne.

The next step is New Zealand. I will start on South Island, cycling up crossing to North Island. From here I hope to hitch a lift on a yacht and cross the South Pacific to South America.

Hoping to land in Chile, I will cycle into Argentina then head north through Bolivia, Peru and into Ecuador. I will bypass Columbia by boat to Costa Rica. Landing in Central America I will travel up through Mexico until I get to the USA.

Crossing the border into the USA I will cycle north up the west coast into California. From there I will cycle east across the States to the east coast and then up into Canada where I will find someway home (hopefully crossing to Iceland then across to the northern tip of Scotland and then back home)
