Benedict Allen
Benedict Allen is best known for his survival modus operandi: tapping into local, indigenous knowledge above reliance on modern inventions such as Sat Phones and GPS. Benedict’s claims to fame include eating his own dog to survive after being robbed by gold miners on his first expedition, losing his dog sled team in the Arctic, only to find them a day later and undergoing the Niowra initian ceremony which included 6 weeks of regular beatings that have left him permanent scarring on his back and chest.
“Kevin, you’ll face seriously sub zero temperatures as well as scorching heat for weeks or months on end. It’ll be an almighty test of physical stamina and mental resolve. I wish you the best of luck as you pedal around the world – it’s a huge challenge, certainly one worthy of the fine charity you are supporting.”
